Kehl weir

In Kehl am Rhein the assembly team of the company Bick + Letzel GmbH start to excavate the 60 t weir. 2 months of meticulous planning and 4 weeks of precise reinforcement work in the plant preceded this work step.     The completely renovated weir will be delivered to the construction site and replaced. In a next step, the weir will be loaded onto a
transport vessel and transported to the 2,500 m² assembly hall in Aschaffenburg, where it will be completely overhauled and a new corrosion protection coat applied. Bick + Letzel GmbH is able to complete this task in 3 months to ensure that the weir can be refitted in Kehl am Rhein and put back into service before the start of the flood season.

STATIC AND DYNAMIC

WATER MANAGEMENT CONSTRUCTIONS

All steps involved in the construction of new or renovation of existing weir elements, shipping locks and water power plant technology can be carried out professionally by one source (see list of facts on the right).

Of course we also offer you support when planning or installing components on site and with the various tests, acceptance and documentation requirements.

Our own lading port on the river Main with its 2.80 m deep navigable channel for inland navigation vessels up to 110 m in length is particularly beneficial for efficient project processing in the hydraulic steel construction field. The facilities available allow the production of very large and heavy single components.

In our own corrosion protection department we can protect the manufactured components against corrosion, thereby saving the cost of further transportation elsewhere.
